Lenten Pinoy specials at Ilustrado
Located inside Intramuros, Ilustrado offers a unique take on Filipino cuisine with its variety of often indulgent, Pinoy specialties with a modern twist. However, as this is the season of Lent, Ilustrado has come out with a special menu consisting of allseafood dishes.
Its all-seafood Lenten Prix Fixe menu consists of a lineup of the freshest local catch prepared with Ilustrado’s unique style. For starters there’s Crab Cake with Spicy Remoulade, Tomato Gazpacho with Baby Prawn, Tuna Tartar, and the restaurant’s own take on the popular Kilawing Tanguingui.
The entrées also offer something new for diners while still offering some classic dishes. There’s Spicy Mixed Seafood in Puff Pastry shell, Grilled Pompano with Fried Bananas and Raisin in Light Yellow Curry Sauce, Blackened Tuna Loin with Porcini Mushroom Ravioli and Brandy Emulsion, Negros Sole Fillet Amanadine.
Cap off your meal with Ilustrado’s popular ice creams and cakes which include the very popular sampaguita, pinipig, and
nilagang mani ice cream. For cakes, must-tries include the Baked Cheesecake and the Canonigo with Vanilla Sabayon.

Ilustrado’s Lenten special Prix Fixe menu is priced at P890.00+ (10 percent service charge) per person and is available for lunch or dinner and will run from Ash Wednesday, February 22 to Maundy Thursday, April 5 of 2012. All throughout the season, Ilustrado will be donating 10 percent of its sales from this promotion to the Last Saturday Club who will be building a classroom for the Baseco Street Kids: Ministry by the Sea. Practice acts of penance and piety by choosing to dine in Ilustrado this season of Lent. Abstinence, alms giving, and make a difference in the lives of streets kids from Baseco.
