Southern comfort living at Anuva

-

Those who grew up south of Metro Manila would like to raise their children in the same environment. No matter where work and travel takes them, they feel a gentle yet persistent tug back to the refuge of the south and its sweeping sceneries, suburban peace, sense of community, and exclusivity in terms of lifestyle options not usually available to residents in other areas. With the road improvements in the Sucat-Las Piñas-SLEX district, even non-southerners who are only now getting acquainted with the vibrant culture of the area (because of how long it used to take to get there) are convinced that it is it a desirable location for a dream home.

Stirring up fresh excitement in the local property market is Anuva, the maiden project of SOC Land Development Corp. (SOC Land) situated in Muntinlupa City along the East Service Road. The condominium community is well placed as it takes advantage of the south’s enhanced road linkages. Just off the Sucat interchange and few minutes from Makati and Alabang, it is within easy access to lifestyle and life-sustaining places such as business districts, academic institutions, medical centers, and commercial and entertainment hubs.

Despite its proximity to some of the country’s most active urban centers, a home in the south spells living well amid canopies of trees, birds of beautiful

plumage, and fields of green. This idyllic vision remains but a dream for people living in typical, crowded condominium neighborhoods, but in Anuva, the natural beauty of the south is complemented and enhanced by abundant open spaces all over the development. The company’s generous open space allocation, 80% out of the 2.4 hectare development, is much more than the mandated 30% open space, and even the industry average.

SOC Land chief executive officer JP Reyes explains, “For our maiden project, we are defining comfort in terms of abundance of space, which is considered a rare luxury these days when you talk of condominium developments, especially in urban centers.” Unlike other developments where the free spaces are characterized by drab gray concrete with a smattering of landscaping here and there almost as an afterthought, Anuva’s spaces are meticulously planned. It has themed garden areas for play and relaxation, meditation areas, a jogging

lane and biking lane. Soothing aquatic features like ponds and a lazy river that runs the course of the entire neighborhood provide family fun and respite from the Metro Manila heat. “Our family’s experience in industrial development, banking, and manufacturing have trained us to be more mindful of the structures today are being built up to 35 stories. Reyes acknowledges that committing to a low-density quality development means giving up some measure of profit, an extraordinary feat these days.

“SOC Land wants to surprise the market with features that exceed their expectations,” says Reyes. “For one, we want our residents to experience this vast, inviting space that will embrace them immediately when they come home to Anuva after a hard day’s work. We are as invested as the buyers are in the well-being of their families, and in making their dream of a comfortable southern home come true.”

The residential project offers stretches of breathing space in the common areas but also especially where it should matter, which is inside the unit itself: the square configuration of the units are roomier. Anuva’s tandem residential buildings rise up to only 14 and 20 stories, which is unusual since most multi-family condominium
