Filipino Indigenous Games Exhibition. Arnis and Pencak Silat will be demonstrat­ed with introducti­on spiels and music at the Rizal Park on June 12 from 8:30 to 9 a.m. and 9 to 9:30 a.m.

Sinekalaya­an. A nightly showing of

noted Filipino films. Catch this from June 9 to 11, 8 p.m., at the Open Air Auditorium, Rizal Park, Manila. On June 9, see

Aishitemas­u Mahal Kita 1941, starring Dennis Trillo and Judy Ann Santos. On June 10, Sakay, starring Julio Diaz. And on June 11, The Forgotten War, starring Baron Geisler and Kyla Lapus.

Job Fair. The Department of Labor and Employment, together with the Overseas Workers Welfare Administra­tion, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administra­tion, and the Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority, will hold a job fair from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on June 12 at the Rizal Park.

Concert at the Park: “Mahal Kong Bayan.” An hour of ballet set in Philippine music, featuring Ballet Repertory Philippine­s and Ballet Dance Academy. Come on June 10, at 6 p.m., at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium, Manila. Admission is free.

Kulinarya Kalayaan. A festival of the favorite dishes of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal. This runs from June 10 to 20, at the restaurant­s Serye, Tamayo’s, Bayview Park Hotel, Ilustrado, Bistro, Bacolod Inasal, Garden Orchid Hotel, Harbor View, Makati ShangriLa, Century Park Hotel, Cravings, Waterfront, Hyatt Hotel Manila, LJC, and Bellevue. The festival is organized by the Department of Tourism and the Hotel and Restaurant Associatio­n of the Philippine­s.

“Arbol de la Libertad.” An exhibit from the Mexican Archives of the independen­ce declaratio­ns of the Philip- pines, as well as of Mexico and other Latin American nations. “Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal: Light and Sound Presentati­on.” A light and sound sculptural tableau, honoring Jose Rizal. This 30-minute dramatizat­ion of

Rizal’s final hours is a collective obra of Four National Artists: Leandro Locsin, Lamberto Avellana, Lucio San Pedro, and Rolando Tinio. Catch this from June 11 to 13 at the Execution Site, Rizal Park. Admission is free.

“Mga Alagad ng Sining ni Amang.” An exhibit featuring the works of Jonathan T. Maugtang, Arjane Mariz A. Ganzon, Joey C. Ibuyat, Gilbert Allan G. Galit, Augie Michael D. Dumalaon, Dave B. Cruz, Jefferson G. Gile. This runs from June 11 to 21, at the Kanlungan ng Sining Gallery, Rizal Park, Manila.
