More fun to shop in Phl

-

The new tourism slogan It’s More Fun in the Philippines is gaining ground. Tourism secretary Ramon Fernandez said the government posted a record high of 1,148,072 arrivals in the first quarter or a 16 percent increase from last year’s international arrivals.

Jimenez said the country’s international exposure on CNN as well as other promotional efforts in key markets, policy reforms to ease entry and enhance market access, and ongoing improvements in road and airport infrastructure would help lure more foreign tourists to the country.

There are many reasons why the Philippines can attract more tourists.

More tourists visit the Philippines because of world- class resorts and beaches, beautiful sceneries, historical and cultural landmarks, hospitable and intelligent people who can speak English. Also the Philippines, the only Christian country in Asia, is rich with festivals reflecting its religion and culture.

Another reason is that the country is an ideal shopping destination offering world- class products and goods, tropical fruits, excellent cuisine and big shopping malls.

To have a glimpse of Filipino products and at the same time enjoy shopping, tourists can come at the Greenhills Shopping Complex’s 19th Telecommunication & Accessories Bazaar back- to- back with the 7th Philippine Crafts Fair.

The Greenhills Shopping Com- plex is ready for the heavy influx of tourists. Greenhills supports the government’s program to uplift the small and medium entrepreneurs. It houses a department store selling local and imported brands, beauty shops, the newly revived Music Museum, a vibrant food strip offering choices of restaurants, a badminton court and multi- level parking spaces.
