MSU grad tops social workers’ exam

• The Profession­al Regulation Commission ( PRC) announced yesterday that 893 examinees passed the licensure examinatio­n for social workers. Norhainah Calandada Abdul Aziz, a graduate of Mindanao State University (MSU), topped the exam with a grade of 88.10 percent.

The examinatio­ns were held in Manila, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi and Zamboanga.

Second placer was University of the Philippine­s (UP-Diliman) graduate Ma. Elinore Vilar, who obtained a grade of 86.80 percent, followed by Rose Anne Rosare of Bicol University-Legazpi with a score of 86.50 percent.

Nellibeth Mercado of the Asian Social Institute landed in fourth spot with 85.80 percent while Joy-Ann Sajiran, also of MSU, placed fifth with 85 percent.

Helenne Grace Pelias of Philippine Women’s University ranked sixth with 84.90 percent, while another MSU graduate, Elsa Alcuetas, Bicol University graduate Doris May Ann Baltar and Maricar Detalo of Christ the King College in Gingoog City shared seventh place with identical grades of 84.80 percent.

Eighth placers were Noreen Acosta of Palawan State University, Jesreel Domingo of UP-Diliman, and Raffy Vigil of MSU who all obtained 84.70 percent.

UP-Diliman graduates Catherine Espedido and MSU graduate Jennyrie Nuego placed ninth with 84.60 percent, while Arifah Malawi Abdulmalic, also of MSU, ranked 10th with 84.50 percent. (Complete list of successful examinees on philstar.com)

Registrati­on for the issuance of profession­al identifica­tion card and certificat­e of registrati­on will run from July 9 to 20. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Profession­als.
