Manila Rotary induction set

The Rotary Club of Manila ( RCM), first in Asia, will hold its 93rd inaugural and induction ceremonies on July 5, 6 p.m., at the Rigodon Ballroom, Manila Hotel. The incoming board of directors and officers will be led by president- elect Obet Pagdangana­n, former Tourism and Agrarian Reform Secretary, Bulacan Governor, past charter president and Paul Harris Fellow, Calumpit Rotary Club.

Pagdangana­n announced that for RY 2012– 2013, Rotary Internatio­nal ( RI) theme is “Peace Through Service.” In line with the theme RCM will launch service projects on basic education and literacy, health care, water and sanitation — six areas of focus of Rotary Internatio­nal.

Sen. Allan Peter Cayetano will be the guest of honor and speaker while RI District 3810 governor Maeng Mercado will be guest of honor and inducting officer.

The Rotary Club of Manila board of directors and officers for RY 2012-2013 are president Obet Pagdangana­n, immediate past president Banit Caasi, VP Frank Evaristo, directors Ner Lonzaga, Ben Diokno, Ebot Tan, Teddy Ocampo, Albert Alday, Nic Locsin; executive officers secretary Alvin Lacambacal, treasurer Jim Chua, sergeant-at-arms Dave Reynolds, internal auditors Ed Tioseco and Mark Humphries, legal adviser Amading Valdez, PRO Rtn. Ricky Yap, asst. secretary Ning Lopez and asst. treasurer Muhammad Aslam.
