Bench celebrates 25th year in Hong Kong

-

To celebrate Bench’s 25th anniversary, Suyen Corporation president Virgilio Lim and vice president Nenita Lim together with Bench CEO Ben Chan rewarded 200 longest-staying employees with a much deserved vacation in Hong Kong.

It was like a big family getaway, as the group inched their way through the immigration counter of Chep Lap Kok Airport with the usual picture-taking with their digital cameras before boarding tourist buses. The group checked out interesting places in Hong Kong such as malls and streets lined with colorful stores, and the world-famous night market of Mong Kok. They had a splendid dinner at a restaurant serving authentic Chinese specialties.

On the second day, everyone did the

rounds of the “must see,” covering both Hong Kong and Kowloon Island’s tourist attractions.

On the third day of the trip, wearing their Bench@25 commemorative shirts, they headed to Lantau Island for a whole day of frolicking in Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. With their big bosses, they enjoyed snapping photos and posing together while walking on Main Street. Everyone was brought back to turn-of-the-century America and enjoyed seeing Disney’s main resident, Mickey Mouse. The day was filled with happy memories for the employees who have been with Bench for the past 25 years. Everyone shouted with glee while checking out the sights in Fantasyland such as the Sleeping Beauty Castle, taking the Jungle River Cruise in Adventureland and seeing Simba of The Lion King as well as Tarzan as in Tomorrowland, and getting some quick bites at Jessie’s Snack Roundup in Toy Story land.

How does one measure 25 years? Yes, it’s

a quarter of a century. For Bench employees, this signifies the time they clocked in together making Bench as the No. 1 clothing and lifestyle brand in the Philippines and the country’s 1st true global brand.

Bench’s mantra for the coming years

is “ageless” and these employees stood by Bench since Day One when CEO Ben Chan opened a store selling men’s shirt somewhere in the heart of Manila. That single store has grown leaps and bounds in a span of 25 years. After their Hong Kong sojourn, the employees look forward to making Bench bigger, better, mightier. This year, they move to Bench’s spanking new corporate headquarters at the tony The Fort Bonifacio Global City. Everyone is in unison to shout: Bench Is Ageless.
