Starmall opens in Bulacan

Starmall, the newest family destination, is now in Bulacan.

Starmall San Jose del Monte formally welcomed its shoppers recently with a day of circus-inspired opening ceremony, mall shows of stars from top TV stations and an outdoor concert at The Amphitheater capped by a spectacular fireworks display.

Present during the formal opening were the officers of Starmall with guests: San Jose Del Monte City Mayor Reynaldo San Pedro, Rida Robes (representing Rep. Arthur Robes), Bulacan Gov. Wilhelmino Sy-Alvarado, and Sen. and Mrs. Manny Villar.

Shoppers were treated to big discounts and best finds as stores offered as much as 70 percent off from their merchandise. Gift items and other freebies were also given away.

The event center was also busy with non-stop games and entertainment for the whole family sponsored by Pepsi. Performances from acrobats, street-magicians, mimes, midgets and stilt-walkers delighted shoppers of all ages. Entertainment is also part of the malling experience. Thousands of mall-goers trooped to the event center to watch their favorite artists perform. Starmall invited JC de Vera and Niña Jose of TV5’s Valiente. Erik Santos serenaded the crowd with his songs.

The evening was a different story. The first offering of The Amphitheater, Starmall San Jose del Monte’s outdoor event venue, was a concert featuring Jovit Baldivino and Aiza Seguerra. Their performances were watched by about 20,000 persons. Capping the night off was a grand fireworks display that lighted the night sky of San Jose Del Monte.
