-

The Philippine Franchise Association (PFA) has lined up two important topics for the start of its seminar series this year that will arm franchisors and franchisees the necessary tools in managing their business and also in grooming the right executives.

PFA will showcase a variety of franchise investments on Jan. 25, 1 to 5 p.m., at the PFA Franchise Training Center with its seminar topic “Be Your Own Boss! How to Buy the Right Franchise Wisely.”

“The topic is suited for aspiring entrepreneurs who want to use franchising as a launch pad to running their own business. Those who want to go into business, especially those who already have a location but are still not decided on what business to get into are invited to attend this seminar. OFWs (or their families), retirees, housewives, new graduates are also perfect candidates to become franchisees,” PFA executive director Charito “Chit” Estrada said.

Then on Feb. 19, PFA has invited renowned Prof. Jose Faustino to talk on the topic “Good Leaders Create Good Managers” at the AIM Conference Center Manila ( ACCM). The seminar is an intensive workshop designed to develop the skills in hiring, developing and motivating highly skilled managers to ensure the growth and profitability of a company.

“Good managers are critical to the success of any business. A good manager can motivate people and enhance productivity. A good manager can create new opportunities for growth for your business. A good manager, however, is getting to be a rare breed. But the good news is good managers can be created and they can become the best assets of your business,” Prof. Faustino said.

The said seminar is specifically targeted for CEOs, business owners, top managers, area managers, human resource managers and other professionals engaged in recruiting and training managers who shall become important contributors to the growth of the business. The format will be both participative and interactive.

Workshop rates, which include meals, certificates and handouts, are Php 3,950.00 (early bird) and Php 4,450 ( regular) for PFA members and their franchisees. For non-PFA members, the rates are Php 4,950 (early bird) and Php 5,450 (regular). Early bird rates are up to January 31 only.
