Alcatel celebrates 20th year with the world's slimmest smart phone
This 2013, Alcatel One Touch celebrates its 20th year in the mobile phone industry with its new products for the year. Along with this, the brand looks back at its French heritage and European quality that makes it stand out among the spectrum of mobile phones in the market today.
Last April 24, Alcatel One Touch hosted a press launch at the Rockwell Tent wherein it launched its eight new products to kickers’ start its product line up for 2013. Present were a number of press and media, dealers, global representatives and brand ambassador Chris Tiu (in photo) donning the flagship phone of Alcatel One Touch for the year, the Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra. A French-inspired menu was also exclusively prepared by chef Laudico which was enjoyed by the attendees.
“The One Touch Idol Ultra represents a breakthrough in technology,” said Alain Lejeune, head of research and development for Alcatel One Touch. “We’ve pushed the barriers on design, resulting in a device that oers the perfect balance between ultra- slim form factor, large display, outstanding performance, and rich user experience.”
The Alcatel One Touch Idol Ultra is dubbed as the world’s slimmest smart phone at the recent CES 2013 as it only measures 6.5mm in thickness. The Idol ultra is sporting a brilliant 4.7” HD Amoled display and is the exclusive smartphone partner for The Aveng- Iron Man 3. The phone has a younger brother, the Alcatel One Touch Idol which is considered as the younger model, also thin at 7.9mm.
Other phones included in the line up are the Quad-core phablet, Scribe HD, which was the crowd favorite along with its younger brother the Scribe Easy. Entry level Android phones Glory 2, Inspire 2 and Sapphire 2 were also introduced as powered and practical phones and the One touch Tab 7HD, a 1.6 GHz dual core slim tablet.All new models are running on the latest Android 4.1 Jellybean.
