UP employee, 3 others found dead

Four persons, including an employee of the University of the Philippine­s (UP) in Diliman, were found dead in separate areas in Quezon City this week.

Josefina Sebastian, 53, a record officer at the UP College of Social Sciences and Philosophy, was discovered lifeless by her brother inside her house in Barangay UP Campus Tuesday, according to investigat­or PO3 Modestino Juanson of the Quezon City Police District.

Juanson said Sebastian bore no external injuries although her body was in the early stages of decomposit­ion at the time of the discovery.

Meanwhile, Ernesto Balibag, 63, was discovered dead inside a motel in Cubao past midnight yesterday.

Case investigat­or PO2 Alvin Quisumbing said Balibag’s body was found by a room boy, who was supposed to inform him that it was time to check out.

Police said Balibag checked in at the motel at around 9 p.m. Tuesday. He was followed by a still unidentifi­ed man, who left the motel after more than an hour.

No external injuries were found on Balibag’s body, Quisumbing said.

Also on Tuesday, stay- in family driver Reynaldo Bayadog, 42, was found dead in his employer’s house in Barangay Batasan Hills.

Bayadog was discovered by his employer Marie Palacio, who checked on his condition after he failed to answer his cell phone several times.

On Monday, a concerned citizen discovered the body of a still unidentifi­ed man along Bonifacio Avenue in Barangay Amoranto.

The man, believed to be in his 60s, was over five feet in height and was wearing gray polo shirt and denim short pants.

Police have yet to determine the causes of the deaths.
