- Neil Jerome Morales

The budget hotel chain of property developer Robinsons Land Corp. ( RLC) is its footprint in Metro Manila.

In a statement, RLC said it started the commercial operations of Gohotels Otis in Paco, Manila, its second hotel in Metro Manila and sixth nationwide.

“Gohotels Otis Manila’s 118 rooms brings the total rooms in the gohotels. ph chain to over 700 keys,” RLC said.

“Gohotels Otis Manila will cater to businessmen who have transactions in the Manila area, including nearby Binondo, as well as tourists visiting the cultural and historical sites dotting the area near the hotel,” RLC said.

For gohotels. ph general manager Elizabeth Gregorio, the new hotel is an upgrade in terms of amenities to enhance guest experience.

The rooms now have a more spacious and ergonomic layout, separate enclosures for shower, toilet, and sink area for more privacy and enhanced functionality, Gregorio said.

Its common areas now have high ceilings, social spaces for eating, wireless Internet, indoor garden, bigger conference room for meetings, cozy and functional lobby, as well as tenants offering essential travelers’ services like transport, spa, snacks and drinks.

“All these additional features in the common areas are further enhanced by the hotel’s being on top of a mall which offers shopping and dining options without guests having to step out of the building,” Gregorio said.

Gohotels is the budget hotel brand of RLC, which also operates Holiday Inn Manila Galleria and Crowne Plaza.

To date, other Gohotels branches are in Tacloban ( Leyte), Dumaguete ( Negros Oriental), Puerto Princesa ( Palawan), Bacolod ( Negros Occidental) and Mandaluyong City.

For the rest of the year, RLC is scheduled to open two more Gohotels: one in Iloilo City and another in Ortigas Center to bring its total branches to eight. –
