Kim now vocal about her feelings

- By Bot Glorioso,

Kim Chiu no longer shows any sign of discomfort when it comes to discussing matters of the heart. She can now directly tell the media that she and Xian Lim are exclusively dating. But this doesn’t mean that she can no longer entertain other guys who are captivated by her charm.

“Of course, it gives any girl a different kind of feeling if she is being courted. Nakakahaba ng hair,” said Kim after the presscon held last Tuesday night for her month-long stint, starting Sept. 7, in the ABSCBN fantasy show Wansapanataym.

Still, other guys might think twice before getting close to her as Xian seems to keep a close watch on her. Kim, who appears to brush off this impression, counters, “I don’t see any problem because I’m not closing my door (on anyone). Wala namang bakuran effect na nangyayari. And besides, there’s no one trying to court me.”

And even if she claims that there are no romantic strings that officially tie her and Xian together, she is content with the way things are going on in her life these days. In fact, she cannot think of a guy who makes her heart beat faster in admiration.

“Pinagpapawisan na ang kilikili ko,” the 23-year-old actress enthused when urged about the idea of giving her nod to Xian, “Darating din tayo d’yan, we cannot force things to happen. Kusa n’yo pong malalaman kung sino man yung nag- papatibok ng puso ko.”

Asked if she misses having a boyfriend, Kim replied, “Oo naman but it takes time to know one for the relationship to last long.”

Kim reportedly had a relationship with Gerald Anderson but their romance fizzled out years ago for an unknown reason.

At the moment, Kim is focusing her attention on family and career. And while waiting for another TV drama project after the success of her last tearjerker series Ina Kapatid Anak, Kim is about to embark on a new role via Wansapanataym.

“No heavy drama this time,” shared Kim about her portrayal in the fantasy series titled My Fairy Kasambahay under director Jerry Sineneng.

Though it is not her first time to play a role in Wansapanataym, her excitement never waned one bit in taking kids and kids at heart on a magical, funny and fun-filled adventure week after week. “Kids can pick a lesson or two after each episode.

Masarap ding maka- inspire ng kids through the show.”

In the story, Kim plays the hard-headed, spoiled brat Elyza who doesn’t show love and respect for house helpers. Her notso-good attitude towards them is about to change when unusual things start to unfold in front of her. John “Sweet” Lapus will play Kim’s fairy godmother.

Kim couldn’t think of a childhood fantasy that lingers in her mind up to this day. But she believes that some of her childhood wishes have already come true.

“So far, most of my grandest wishes have been realized and I hope that whatever good is happening to my life now will just go on and on — the support of people, the happiness. And I wish to surpass whatever challenge will come my way.

“Yung mga di pa natutupad, it’s all up to God whatever beautiful things He wants to happen in my life.”

(Also in the cast of My Fairy Kasambahay are Angel Aquino, Shamaine Buencamino, Miguel Vergara, Arnold Reyes and Simon Ibarra.)
