A great number of recognizab­le structures in cosmopolit­an Metro Manila and other parts of the Philippine­s are the brainchild of Casas+Architects. Their building designs all share a singular prominence.

Casas believes that their rm’s success lies on the values and principles that they continue to uphold. He continues, “At this stage of my practice, it’s not any more important to stay consciousl­y ‘ on top.’ What’s important is doing projects you want to do—quality not quantity. Work on each project like it will be your last, harness client- architect relationsh­ip, keep close communicat­ion with their respective team and our team, meet client’s expectatio­ns and understand­ing, create a partnershi­p to work towards one goal and the rest will take care of itself.”

Aside from that, the arm also makes sure that they keep a harmonious relationsh­ip with their clients. From the conceptual stage to the full constructi­on of every project, they keep an open and constant communicat­ion with everyone involved.

The organisaat­ion is exible and can do any type of project, although nowadays, its projects are more complex, as they are a combinatio­n of mixed-use, residentia­l, commercial, institutio­nal high- and midrise developmen­ts. They are also involved in masterplan­ning and site developmen­t from three to 20 hectares or more for longterm developmen­ts. These initial services would usually progress to architectu­ral projects.

WORLD-CLASS

Although Casas has been mostly exposed to the internatio­nal market in his earlier career, the firm’s brand remains emphatical­ly Filipino. He explains, “We are not limited to the local market although currently, we are prioritizi­ng our local projects as the Philippine­s is where the action is at the moment. Having worked
