The Philippine Star

A very beautiful day

- By PEPPER TEEHANKEE

Beauty guru Dr. Vicki Belo looked fresh and energized, despite her grueling 13-hour flight from the US, when she went straight to Iloilo City to deliver a talk about the latest beauty treatments offered by the Belo Medical Group. She went to the US to accept the “Most Trusted Brand by Filipinos Worldwide” award at the recent Adobo Fil-Am Festival in San Francisco.

At the event in the province, Vicki invited Iloilo’s top 200 women with style and substance for an exclusive lunch at the Kalantiao Hall of Sarabia Manor Hotel and Convention Center. The venue was beautifully adorned with pink floral arrangements with accents of white muslin draping on the ceiling.

The Iloilo event, like that of the one in Bacolod, which I also wrote about recently, was once again masterminded by my good friend and Belo marketing consultant Jojie Dingcong. Jojie is actually designing the whole national roadshow for the Belo brands and ZO Obagi.

Guests were treated to a sumptuous buffet that included a Mexican salad bar, Grilled Fish Primavera with Tortilla Salsa, Italian baby back ribs, baked lasagna, Callos Madrileña, Rosemary Chicken and butter sans rival. These were prepared specially for this occasion by another friend of mine, chef Pauline Banusing.

Vicki gave a very informative talk about the latest beauty treatments offered by her company. She also introduced to the ladies her ZO Obagi Skin Health Products that aim to fight the signs of aging with their powerful ingredients.

The lunch party was a success with many of the ladies forming up long lines to consult with Belo Medical Group doctors who were also present to have their skin and other beauty concerns answered. Of course, the ZO Obagi Skin Health Products were, once again, a big hit.
