Bradley gets into Pacquiao’s nerves

-

Timothy Bradley saying that Manny Pacquiao has lost his killer instinct must have really gotten into the nerves of the Filipino boxing icon.

“He said I’ve lost the killer instinct and the aggressiveness,” Pacquiao said in a television splice put up by Solar Sports to drum up the April 12 rematch.

“So, that’s what I’m working on now. ‘ Yun ang request niya eh di pagbigyan natin (That’s what he wants that’s what we’ll give him),” said the 35-year-old Pacquiao.

Bradley said he watched Pacquiao’s fight against Brandon Rios last November in Macau closely. He said first thing he noticed was how Pacquiao has lost his killer instinct.

Pacquiao used to dominate his opponents, big or small, and would always go for the kill. But he has not scored a stoppage since 2009 when he knocked Miguel Cotto out after 11 rounds.

Bradley said Pacquiao being so involved with Bible preaching could be the main reason why Pacquiao has been showing too much compassion inside the ring.

Pacquiao is leaving no stone unturned as he prepares for his rematch with Bradley, hoping to regain the WBO welterweight crown and avenge his loss in 2012.

Pacquiao trained more than three weeks in General Santos City, and last Saturday he left for Los Angeles to wrap up his training at the Wild Card Gym.

Training was supposed to resume Monday but www.philboxing.com reported yesterday that Pacquiao was jetlagged and Freddie Roach gave him an extra day off.

The report said Pacquiao went out for a morning run around Griffith Park then stayed home the rest of the day to catch up on his sleep. It’s really no cause of concern for Roach. “We’re ahead of schedule,” he said before leaving the Philippines.
