Diary ng Panget hits US theaters this month
Diary ng Panget, the teen romancecomedy that broke local box-office records, is set to invade international screens for Pinoys abroad, as it begins exhibition in American cinemas starting May 9 in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Virginia, Florida and Alaska.
Produced by Viva Films from the monster hit online romance novel of the same title by 20-year-old author Denny, a.k.a. Have You Seen This Girl, the film launched to full stardom James Reid, Nadine Lustre, Andre Paras and Yassi Pressman under the direction of Andoy Ranay.
Diary ng Panget tells the story of Eya (Nadine), a poor, pimply-faced girl who works as a personal maid to the handsome but arrogant Cross Sandford (James). Even when Cross makes her life miserable, she sees to it that she doesn’t go down without a fight. Meanwhile, Eya becomes close to Chad (Andre), a varsity player seeking help in how to profess his love for Lory (Yassi), Eya’s best friend who happens to be in love with Cross. Now, Eya wonders who occupies Cross’ heart.
