Game Two of the Shakey’s V-League finals will be shown live tomorrow on GMA News TV Channel with Far Eastern U seeking its first-ever championship against National U at The Arena in San Juan.

The live broadcast of the keenly awaited duel, set at 3 p.m., will actually start at 1 p.m. for the battle for third place between Adamson U and University of Santo Tomas.

The Lady Tams put up a tough stand to shock the highly fancied defending champion Lady Bulldogs, 26-24, 26-24, 25-22, in the opener of their best-of-three series last Sunday with the Morayta-based squad going all-out to score a repeat for a breakthrough victory in the country’s premier women’s volley league sponsored by Shakey’s.

The Lady Falcons will also try to wrap up their series with another win after scoring a 25-17, 25-23, 18-25, 251 win over the six-time champions.

FEU, a league pioneer in 2004, never got a shot at the crown in the first 10 years, finishing no better than third in Season 6 in 200 . But the Lady Tams became an instant title contender in this year’s Season 11 First Conference following the late acquisition of ace reinforcements Rachel Ann Daquis and Jovelyn Gonzaga.

A victory by NU, however, will set the stage for sudden death set June 1, which will also aired live, according to the organizing Sports Vision.

While FEU is chasing its maiden championship, NU is trying to become only the third team in league history to win back-to-back First Conference titles after La Salle in Seasons 2 and 3 and UST in Seasons 6 and 7.
