Camarines lawmaker’s ma ordered arrested for vote buying

LEGAZPI CITY – The mother of Camarines Norte first district Rep. Catherine Barcelona-Reyes was ordered arrested yesterday by a Daet court for alleged voting buying during the May 2013 local elections.

The warrant though was not served to Vilma Barcelona as she was out of the country with her daughter.

Barcelona’s lawyer reportedly posted P12,000 bail on her behalf.

The charges against Barcelona were filed by the camp of incumbent Camarines Norte Gov. Edgar Tallado.

Supporters of the Barcelonas alleged that the case was only for political vendetta as the administration bet lost to Barcelona-Reyes in the last elections.
