T dministrator onorito o haneco has been appointed concurrent T general manager upon the relief of controversial erstwhile T manager law er l itangcol late last month

aw er igs agcal T spokesperson earlier said that haneco has been tasked b T ecretar o- seph milio ba a to check the claims of T president oehl o ett acar that there were numerous existing s stem problems that was left behind b former long-time T maintenance provider umitomo-T hilippines

acar a andalu ong it councilor said the current persistent glitches should not be blamed on T or their maintenance of the rail line during their interim maintenance contract and even the current ilipino maintenance contractor ure orte Techni ue T lobal

acar said the T can easil ascertain the state or condiution of the T s various s stems if it will ust look for the s stems assessment report submitted b the T s expensive long time operations and maintenance consultant stra retained b the T in the s

T hilippines is the current maintenance contractor of the T ine

ST a cop of the report acar said that from their assessment T T hilippines had committed numerous uestionable maintenance actions during their tenure chief of which was their use of alread deteriorated parts or e uipment and their failure to use original e uipment manufacturer parts for various s stems or components of the T trains such as traction motors air-conditioning units and wheel and axle assembl

ven the T s rail tracks maintenance were also found to be uestionable

t is suspected that the composition of the rail is not of uropean origin and standards

To distinguish whether there is a rail or track defect it is suggested that a thorough and detailed third part assessment be commissioned b the owner

This will determine whether there is a rail defect due to initial manufacturing imperfections of the rail or track defects that are exclusivel a result of train traffic or poor track maintenance of the previous maintenance provider the audit report said on the assessment of the railtracks

The audit also described as deficient the installation of windshields on the T trains

pon turnover of the warehouse inventor to the interim contractor the number of windshield in stock and the fre uenc of withdrawal due to breakage of windshields was found to be highl irregular the report said

n house investigation and evaluation found that the breakage was due to the wrong methodolog of installing the windshields coupled with the factors of vibration due to poor tracks and impact while vehicles are shunting the report revealed

The audit also found the continued use of deteriorated parts especiall the traction motors

ll of the traction motors are be ond their useful life having logged more than one million kilometers This is based on the assessment of the original e uipment manufacturer erken that rail industr standard re uires all of the traction motors be replaced for this model of trains The actual average mileage of the traction motor in T is km the assessment and audit summar report of T hilippines said
