Powerhouse Eastridge picked up a win and a draw against Tagaytay Highlands to stay comfortably on top of Group 1 after the second round of home-and-away elimination matches in the Men’s Federation Golf League in various venues recently.

Eastridge salvaged a 2.5-2.5 draw at Tagaytay Highlands before asserting its might in a rousing 4.5-.5 rout at home to improve its record to three wins and a draw for a leagueleading 10 points.

Alabang and Wack Wack also scored a win and a draw against their respective rivals to continue sharing the lead in Group 2.

Alabang first defeated Orchard at home via a 3-2 decision then denied their victims an expected counter with a pulsating 2.5-2.5 draw that sent one of the tournament favorites off to a disappointing start.

Wack Wack was brought to the dreaded Dye course by Eagle Ridge but the visitors managed to hack out a 2.5-2.5 draw.

Taking its hosting turn the following week, Wack Wack took the match and the tie with a 3-2 result.

Defending champion Valley and Sta. Elena split their duel. Sta. Elena escaped with a 3-2 home win but Valley exacted revenge the next week with a more convincing 4-1 triumph.

Third round matches pit Sta. Elena versus Eastridge, Valley vs Mimosa, Orchard opposite Forest Hills and Alabang against Wack Wack.
