‘Art in Transit: Modern and Contempora­ry Art Festival’ at Rockwell

The festival highlights the best of 3hilippine art as selected and curated by the editorial team of W magazine 1ational Artists Abdulmari Imao, Arturo /uz, and )ederico Aguilar Alcuaz 3residenti­al Medal of Merit winner -uvenal Sans modernists -ustin 1uyda, 5aul Isidro, 5amon 2rlina, Angelito Antonio and Eduardo Castrillo as well as contempora­ry artists Michael Cacnio, aniel ela Cruz, ominic 5ubio, Carlo 2ngchangco, Vincent de 3io and Aileen /anuza.

Starting today until -uly 3, an e hibition at the 1orth Court called “The Masters of Modernism and 1ational Artists” features works by Imao, /uz, and Alcuaz Moining works by sculptors 5amon 2rlina and Eduwill ardo Castrillo. At the South Court that week will be an e hibit called “Classic Sanso,” which represents the very best of Sanso.

)rom -uly to , the 1orth Court hold “Masters of Genre,” an e hibition of works by ominic 5ubio, Angelito Antonio, sculptor Michael Cacnio, and the late Mario 3arial. 2ver at the South Court will be an e hibition of emerging genre artists -ovan Benito, AlMo 3ingol, )rancis 1acion, 5ichard Arimado, and -ef Cablog.

“The Best of Contempora­ry Art” follows from -uly to at the 3ower 3lant’s 1orth Court featuring works of Vincent de 3io, Aileen /anuza, ominador /aroza, -aspher 3enuliar, 5eybert 5amos, Almer Moneda, Camille dela 5osa, Gilbert Semillano, 3ro Gelladuga, and 5ob /ucas.

The 1orth Court will feature “Whimsical Contempora­ry Artists” from -uly to Aug. 3 with narrative art influenced by children’s literature, mythology and pop culture from artists such as Edwin Tres 5eyes, Carlo 2ngchangco, )rancis 1acion, -omar elluba, Anthony 3alo, and Migs Villanueva. )rom Aug. to , “)ocus on Abstract” will be held at the 1orth Court with works by Alcuaz, /uz and Sanso modernists 5aul Isidro, 2rlina, Eduardo Castrillo, and Carlo Magno and emerging abstractio­nists Aldrino Abes, Karina Baluyut, and Camille Ver. The festival closes with an e hibition of abstract works from Sanso in “Abstract Sanso” from Aug. to at the 1orth Court.
