New album from Academy of Rock

-

The Academy of Rock ( AOR), with Yeng Constantino as its lead act, had recently released its new album The Next Step Volume 2 with a spectacular showcase at the Music Museum. The occasion was also a charity concert for Bantay Bata that carried the slogan Lend Us A Hand, Give Them A Hope.

The album, featuring AOR students from Singapore and Philippines, is part of the academy’s Outreach Program 2014, with all proceeds from both digital and physical sales to go directly to ABS- CBN’s Bantay Bata Foundation.

With Yeng on her second year as AOR ambassadress, she flew to Singapore last summer for the recording of her single included in the album, along with the shoot of its music video. The Tagalog track titled SeenZoned is bound to become a favorite through exposure via local radio airwaves and music channels.

“I really enjoyed going through the process of recording the song and shooting the video,” said

Yeng. Other songs included are Straighten Those Knees by Ruth Ann Lee; Whispers, Nicki Lucido; Don’t Give Up, Chloe Villaret; Primavera, Carmela Nina Gonzalez; Reach The Sky, Kelcey Palileo; and a collaborative sing- along titled People Say.

The Next Step Volume 2 brings listeners through different types of music, with each song accompanied by a music video. AOR will also release behind thescenes videos that show the hard work and genuine passion the students and teachers have put into the project.

Just like in the first volume, all songs were written, arranged, performed and produced entirely by students and teachers handpicked by the institution. All recordings and mastering were completed at 32bit Studios in Singapore.

The album is available at all AOR Philippines and Singapore outlets and at Bantay Bata Foundation for P150.
