Skycable and Destiny Cable subscribers unwind at ‘Mom’s Time Out’

-

It’s easy for moms to forget about taking a break for some much-needed “metime.” Last Sept. 27, Lifetime, a leading network for women, wrapped up the first season of its hit Asian reality TV series Mom’s Time Out by treating lucky SkyCable and Destiny Cable subscribers to a break during the “Mom’s Time Out Session” at the Infinity Ballroom of F1 Hotel, Bonifacio Global City.

Subscribers took a break to enjoy an afternoon interacting with other moms over tea and sumptuous snacks, plus learning tips on how to look and feel good. The event featured makeup artist Ana Paredes and stylist Miki Hahn.

Ana Paredes, who studied at Makeup Forever Philippines, gave a workshop on basic makeup tips and demonstrated actual makeup techniques for a fresh day look such as using primers and to “moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!” Stylist and designer Miki Hahn gave Moms tips on being comfortable with what they wear and discussed the six basic wardrobe must-haves, namely: the basic white T-shirt, white button-down shirt, blazer, jeans, leggings and slacks.

The Baileys, the Filipino family featured in Mom’s Time Out, were interviewed on their life-changing experiences which they learned by being part of the show. Dad Kenneth is the sole breadwinner of the family working night-shifts, while Emerald is a stayat-home mom. Dad Kenneth took on the challenges of taking care of his twoand-half-year-old daughter Briah while mom Emerald was away.

Moms Time Out is Lifetime’s first Asian original production. It is a social experiment that explores the modern gender roles when Mom takes time out while Dad is left to run the household. Frazzled mothers from three families across Asia go on a five-day all-expensepaid getaway and leave their husbands in charge of the children. Aside from the Baileys, other families in the first season include the Pangs from Singapore and the Jasons from Malaysia.
