Kyochon official chicken of the PBA
The Filipinos’ appetite for fried chicken has already caught up at the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA), home of the country’s hardcourt heroes, via a recent tie-up that names Korean fried chicken restaurant chain Kyochon as the league’s “Official Chicken of the PBA,” a distinction no other chicken restaurant in the country holds.
This is a testament to Kyochon’s phenomenal success in the Philippines, drawing throngs of hungry guests to its first ever store inside SM Megamall and recently at the newly-opened branch at SM Fairview. Plans are underway for the opening of its 3rd store in Greenhills which will also feature the same bright, industrial interiors, cozy ambiance and quick dining service Kyochon is known for the world over.
Kyochon is known for being a huge patron of sports. In Korea, the brand recently held the Kyochon Honey Ladies Open for the LPGA of Korea Tour (Ladies Professional Golf Association), one of the world’s five leading women’s golf tours. Locally, Kyochon shows its support for Filipinos’ favorite game by forging a partnership that fittingly brings together the number one Korean-style Fried Chicken and number one league in Philippine sports.
Apart from being healthy (Kyochon chicken contains less grease and zero trans fats with no artificial flavor-enhancing additives), the restaurant’s signature dish also requires meticulous preparation. Using only the freshest chicken, the meat is marinated for 24 hours and doublefried. The chicken is then hand-brushed in the restaurant’s all-original sauce made with all-natural ingredients.
