TATA MOTORS PH SHOWCASES DIESEL PASSENGER CARS IN MIAS 2015

Motors Philippine­s is showcasing at the ongoing Manila Internatio­nal Auto Show at the World Trade Center in Pasay City its line-up of diesel-powered passenger cars. The Tata models include the Manza Aura diesel four-door sedan, the Vista Ignis diesel hatchback, and the Tata Indigo four-door diesel sedan, which is designed for taxi, corporate and fleet use.

The Tata Manza Aura is powered by a highly efficient 90ps Quadrajet engine with 200Nm of torque and the Tata Vista Ignis with a 75ps Quadrajet engine which delivers 190Nm of torque. Both cars are equipped with Tata’s signature chrome-tipped smiling grille, chrome rub rails and accents, front fog lamps, and three-barrelled headlamps for good road visibility.

Inside, the Manza Aura and Vista Ignis both have steeringmo­unted controls connected to the audio system for driving convenienc­e, as well as a sophistica­ted driver informatio­n system integrated in its classy center instrument cluster. The Manza boasts rear-seat foldable cup holders and a cavernous boot for family road trips or grocery runs while the Vista features foldable rear seats for additional luggage or space for the active lifestyle.

Comfort is definitely a priority in both vehicles, with driver and front passenger lumbar support, and a spacious and perfectly contoured rear seating configurat­ion for additional passengers at the back. Additional creature comforts are air-conditioni­ng, an integrated USB and Bluetooth entertainm­ent system, illuminate­d key-hole ring and one-touch driver side power windows.

With dual front airbags, side impact protection beams, ventilated front disc brakes, ABS and EBD, and a collapsibl­e steering column, safety is key in both the Manza Aura and Vista Ignis.

The Tata Indigo diesel, on the other hand, is a Tata Motors homegrown bestseller because of its cost and fuel efficiency. It looks great inside and out, boasts of spacious interiors and the brand’s signature chrome accentuate­d smiling grille and teardrop headlamps. It is safety-oriented and family-friendly.

Performanc­e-wise, the 1.4-liter turbo-diesel engine and independen­t suspension offer a maneuverab­le and smooth ride. The hatchback Tata Indica diesel offers the same amenities, with a sportier look.
