International trade shows in tune with Visit Philippines Year 2015

The country’s meetings, incentives, conventions, and exhibitions ( MICE) industry has a lot to look forward to 2015 as Visit the Philippines Year.

Aside from its annual international trade shows, Global Link MP International added some impressive names to its event, portfolio.

Included is Thailand Week, organized by the by the Thai Trade Center, Royal Thai Embassy, Manila and the International Trade Promotion ( DITP) Ministry of Commerce Royal Thai Government.

Thailand Week wanted to promote business partnerships between Thai and Filipino companies and held Feb. 26 to March 1 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

The Milan of Asia on March 13 to 16 at the Philippines International Furniture Show ( PIFS). PIFS is the central showcase for the national industry and attracts thousands of buyers from all over the world each year. It was held at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

After PIFS is the 6th Association of Southeast Asian Pain Societies Congress ( ASEAPS), on March 15 to 17 at the EdsaShangrila Hotel, which brought together scientists, clinicians, pharmacologists, nurses, and researchers in Southeast Asia to discuss the latest developments in pain management.

The Business Opportunities & Investments Expo ( BOI), alongside Consumer Electronics World, will be held on April 23 to 25 at the SMX, is set to attract investors and entrepreneurs looking for new ventures, investment concepts, and financial management services.

On April 24 to 26, the company is together with other event organizers to put together Madrid Fusion Manila, the local edition of the famed culinary event where Spain’s best chefs will demonstrate the latest in culinary trends and techniques.

Visitors of the Madrid Fusion can also look forward to exciting activities such as the tapas festival, food tours, tastings, food trucks and bar crawls, among others.

It is organized in partnership with the Philippine Association of Convention/ Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers, Inc. ( PACEOS) and is spearheaded by the Department of Tourism.

In June, filmmakers, producers, and industry professionals from all over the ASEAN region are flying in to be part of the International Film Expo.

An initiative of the Film Development Council of the Philippines, IFX is considered the business-to-business event for the ASEAN film industry.

It will take place on June 26 to 28 at the SMX Convention Center Manila.

The event culminates with the World Premieres Festival where films from all over the world vie for a spot to be shown for the first time in Asia in this esteemed festival.

On Oct. 28- 30, the 17th Asia Pacific Retailers Convention and Exhibition at the SMX in MOA. APRCE is a prestigious biennial event that has become the Asia’s largest retail convention and exhibition since it was first held in 1983.

From Nov. 5 to 7, the 14th Asia Pacific Responsible Care Conference, a regional congress for the chemical industry at the SMX Convention Center Manila from Nov. 5 to 7.
