Sarah goes on tour

The TV show The Voice Philippine­s is in between seasons and there is no motion picture filming that she has to rush to playdate. This means that Pop Princess Sarah Geronimo now has some free time in her hands. So time now to hook up with friends and fans in far away places. Therefore, here is good news for all fans of Sarah who have been longing to watch her perform live but are unable to come to Manila. Sarah is taking her Perfect 10 concert on tour and your city might just be among those that she is planning to visit.

Sarah, who incidental­ly was named Favorite Female Artist at the recent MYX Music Awards, kicks off her tour at the Bataan People’s Center in Balanga City, Bataan on April 17. Performing with her will be The Voice Kids grand champion and her mentee Lyca Gairanod. This will be followed by her show at the Divine Word College of the San Jose Gymnasium at the General Lukban St. in San Jose Occidental Mindoro on April 24. Her special guest will be singer and actor Ronnie Liang.

Come May, Sarah will be taking her Perfect 10 concert to Canada. This is her first fime to perform in Canada in over four years. She will be joined again by Lyca and Ace Comedian Jon Santos. So all of you, Sarah Geronimo fans in Canada, time now to take note of the dates of her upcoming visit. Her schedule is as follows:

Parents out there who think they may have a budding Sarah in their midst might wish to take advantage of the summer workshops offered by The Music School of Ryan Cayabyab. Sarah or no Sarah, it pays to learn something over the summer vacation.

Classes begin today. The special music performanc­e classes being offered are Musikids for children four to five and six to seven years old; 14-K for children eight to 11 and 12 to 16 years old; and Muziktheat­er for 17 years old and above. Aside from these, individual lessons in voice, piano, guitar and violin are also offered all-year round.

Speaking of MYX, the MYX TV channel in the US is a nominee at the 2015 NAMIC Vision Awards. NAMIC stands for the National Associatio­n for Multi-ethnicity in Communicat­ions. The awards recognize original television and digital programmin­g content that depicts the lives, spirit and contributi­ons of people of color and best reflects the ethnic and cultural diversity of audiences.

MYX, the only English-language multicultu­ral Asian American entertain- ment network in the US, was nominated for its first food-reality show, Eat Your

Words under the Lifestyle category. The other nominees are Rev Run’s Sunday

Suppers on Cooking Channel and Help Desk on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.

Eat Your Words is led by MYX TV GM Miguel Santos, host Kara Birkenstoc­k and executive producers Valerie Chow and Stephen Goetsch. It also won an award as the Guilty Addiction of the Year at the sixth Annual Taste Awards last January in Hollywood.
