SM opens 1st large screen cinema in Cabanatuan

SM Cinema will launch the first large format cinema on Oct. 9 in Cabanatuan City – a giant digital screen almost 30 percent bigger than the regular theater’s screen size.

Cabanatuan folks will be the first to experience SM Cinema’s very first large format screen at the to-be-launched SM Cabanatuan on Oct.9.

Branded as SM Large Screen Cinema, the super-sized screen stretches the limits of one’s peripheral vision to the maximum and gives the audience a largerthan-life experience.

Capable of 3D movies on its high-resolution format, SM Large Screen Cinema uses a silver screen which ensures brighter and clearer images on display, and uses a superb sound system to deliver an immersive and unparallel­ed sound experience.

A standard SM Large Screen Cinema set up has accommodat­ions for 507 guests, seating patrons in a stadium-like setting much similar to an IMAX theater.

Also offering high-quality theaters, SM Cinema will open five fully digitized theaters that promise to deliver the best possible movie-watching experience. SM Cinema Cabanatuan will have 294 wellappoin­ted seats per theater, making certain all patrons will enjoy the view from any seat they choose.

As a standard in all SM Cinemas, the facility apportions an area dedicated to persons with disabiliti­es (PWD) to accommodat­e all varieties of guests. The cinemas also boast of crisp digital surround-sound systems and crystal clear images to deliver the best theater experience.

Completing the newest movie destinatio­n in Cabanatuan City, Snack Time, SM Cinema’s official snack and merchandis­e arm, will serve popcorn, drinks, and other snacks, along with the latest movie merchandis­e that fans will surely love to collect.

To further give movie-goers the best theater experience in town, e-PLUS will offer a limited movie kit that includes six movies, six caramelize­d popcorn, and a subscripti­on to SM’s newly launched blink movie app that lets you watch movies on the go – all for only P500.

SM Cabanatuan will be the 2nd branch to open an SM Cinema theater, next to the SM Mega Center. Cabanatuan is a progressiv­e and rapidly urbanizing component city, one of the five cities in Nueva Ecija.
