Though Tom Rodriguez is your ultimate ladies’ man, and it comes as no secret that after his successful My Husband’s Lover stint, he has become a sight for the men, too. Cliché as it may sound, there is definitely more Tom than meets the eye. A man of many layers waiting to be discovered, he is definitely the epitome of the best there is out there.

So, what does he do that sets him apart from the rest? He candidly jokes about having to always be the “mas better” choice in all his marks — “I like authentici­ty — staying true to yourself, being honest,” he says. This also goes to show in all the other aspects of his life, he truly stays consistent to his identity and this is probably what makes him so endearing to his Filipino fans. Tom played “What makes you #MARKSBETTE­R.” What’s a #MARKSBETTE­R day for you? “A #MARKSBETTE­R day for me would be when I get to relax at home and paint. It brings me back to preshowbiz days.

“Yes I do (paint), that’s something people are always surprised to hear about me actually.”

What about a #MARKSBETTE­R girl? “Ay, this is a tough one. I always like looking for the complete package — beauty and brains but more importantl­y, someone I can have great conversati­ons with.” What is a #MARKSBETTE­R date for you? “Honestly? I prefer a simple, no-frills date. As I said, I love conversati­ons, so something that doesn’t distract you from the person is a good thing.”

What’s your favorite #MARKSBETTE­R food? “My weakness is flame-grilled burgers — and that’s very hard to find here in Manila. My usual go-to place is Burger King for quick fastfood runs. I love their 100-percent beef Whoppers.”

What makes you a #MARKSBETTE­R man? “Just stay true. That’s the most important thing.”
