Time to be Iron Men

-

Triathletes, runners and sports aficionados recently gathered at the 2015 Cobra Ironman 70.3 Philippines at Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa as the event’s official timekeeper, Timex, introduced its newest Timex Ironman Move X20.

This incredibly lightweight wristband watch is made for fitness enthusiasts. Its rubber material is adjustable to fit one’s wrist, suitable for training. Ironman Move X20 keeps track of time, date and day. It also monitors distance, steps, calories gained and lost, as well as sleep quality.

“The Timex Ironman Move X20 allows me to keep track of my daily activities, those we often do not pay attention to like the number of steps that we take daily and the quality of our sleep. Sleep is actually a very important part of training. Getting enough sleep and rest makes one perform better in racing and training,” says Tobias Bernardo, team director of the Timex-Gold’s Gym TMM Multisport Team.

Besides its durable battery lifespan that can last up to seven days without charging, as well as the brand’s signature Indiglo night-light, this watch is compatible with IOS and Android phones. It also comes with a free downloadable application that can record all its information, which can be accessed through smartphones. It is programmed to be user friendly for easy and flexible setup, depending on the wearer’s monitoring preference.

“I’m able to use it for my runs to help me track the distance, time and pace even without a GPS device. Afterwards, I can simply use the app on my phone to review the data. It’s a good device to supplement the other devices that athletes use to help them monitor all the other activities in-between racing and training,” adds Tobias.

The Timex Ironman Move X20 watches are available in top Timex stores in SM Megamall, SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, TriNoma, and Glorietta 3. This year’s Timex commemorative Ironman watch was sold at the Timex booth located at the Marquee Shangri-La Mactan Resort and Spa.
