ULAH Tri United 3 up Sunday in Subic

The Unilab Active Health’s (ULAH) Tri United series resumes Sunday with some of the country’s leading triathlete­s heading the 800- entry field vying for top honors in the Tri United 3 firing off at 6 a. m. in Subic.

The event, organized by Bike King, headed by Raul Cuevas, and presented by ULAH, features a 1.9 km swim, 90 km bike and 21 km run that will start at ACEA Resort (Dungaree Beach) inside the Subic Bay Freeport traversing the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and reaching Alviera in Porac, Pampanga.

Also set up is the Triking Distance course of 1 km swimming, 60 km bike and 10 km run.

At stake are cash prizes worth P10,000, P6,000 and P4,000 for the top three male elite and top three femate elite winners.

The top three male, top three female, relay and team category winners will also receive medals and gift packs while the top three team competitio­n winners will receive trophies, medals and gift packs.

The awards rites will be held at 2 p.m. at the Active Health Village at Alviera.

To cap the 2015 Tri United series, the top age groupers and teams of the year will be honored on Nov. 6 with an awarding party at the BBZ Bar in Makati City.
