TEVSAPHIL holds 4th TVET Congress

Former movie producer BGen Alejandro Escano ( photo), now president and chairperso­n of TEVSAPHIL ( Technical Vocational Schools and Associatio­ns of the Philippine­s), announced recently the holding of the fourth TVET National Congress to be held on Nov. 12 at SM Aura in Taguig City.

The whole day event will have senator and Presidenti­able Miriam Defensor Santiago as special guest of honor and speaker.

Other speakers include Sen. Cynthia Villar who will speak on Tech- Voc Education in Agricultur­e and Economy; Sen. Sonny Angara ( Enhancing Effectiven­ess and Sustainabi­lity of Tech- Voc Education Private and Public); Rep. Roman Romulo ( The Role of Tech- Voc in the Economic Developmen­t of the Philippine­s); Colombo Plan Staff College Prof. Dr. G. Kalanthaiv­el ( Transition­ing Millennium Developmen­t Goals in TechBoc Education in the Philippine­s); Australian Commission­er Anthony Weymouth ( Trans-National Education in Tech- Voc in Asia- Pacific Region); Juan Miguel del Rosario ( Emerging Digital Technology in Tech- Voc Education); and Prof. Edwin Monares ( Initiative­s on Research and Developmen­t Program in Tech- Voc Education).

TESDA OICDG Irene Isaac will deliver the keynote speech with Role of TESDA in K+ 12 Implementa­tion and Mandate in the Developmen­t and Sustainabi­lity of TVET Industry as topic.

Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano will deliver the welcome address.

The theme of the congress is Towards Developmen­t and Sustainabi­lity of the Private Sector TVET Industry in the K+ 12 EnvironFOR ment and Beyond.
