HOROSCOPE

(November 23 Monday)

- By HOLIDAY MATHIS

Sagittarius Sun Agenda The Scorpio sun was a constant reminder that in the blink of an eye, everything can change. The Sagittarius sun flips the idea by visiting new topics and insisting that change happens because we seek out what’s novel and crave all things fresh. The Sagittarius sun will be your guide to starting up some fun.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). Simple things may seem difficult to you, while what is extremely difficult for others may seem very simple. There is no “one size fits all” situation for life.

TAURUS ( April 20-May 20). Leadership requires inner discipline. You’ll wonder if you have what it takes. You do. You just need more practice; that’s all. Know that when you rule what’s happening inside yourself, you are ruling the most difficult territory of all.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). The 20 or so individuals around you are powerful, but they are not the only people in the world. There are approximately seven billion others. Why limit yourself by only knowing a few?

CANCER (June 22-July 22). You can sense when you are being manipulated. You respect when it’s being done very well. All that’s going on right now inclines you to go along, just to see what happens.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). You have armored yourself against your own problems. That’s why you are more sensitive to other people’s pain than you are to your own. This is the reason you’ll be caught off-guard today.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). The people you’re around will be the biggest factor in your experience. There’s someone whose influence will be extremely strong. This connection is physical, psychic and cosmic.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). You’ll consider living more dangerously. Those rebels in your midst do have a point: Pushing yourself causes a feeling of being fully alive. That’s important to your over all well-being!

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). Well, it’s interesting the different ways people see things. You live so close to another person you will wonder how there can be such a magnificent difference between your point of view and theirs.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). The people who like you don’t need you to do much else besides just be yourself. The people who use you require much more. Knowing this, you’ll make a decision or two about your relationships.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). The answer is what it always is – love. The bottom-line question to ask yourself: What is the most loving choice you could make? That is the choice that will prove to be right.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). Don’t lend more than you can afford to lose. People aren’t as ethical as you today and they don’t care as much. Protect yourself with a bubble of awareness.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). If you want to have the place to yourself, you’re not being selfish, rather, you are getting in touch with the soft animal inside you – the one who cares about territory and will defend it when pushed.

TODAY’S BIRTHDAY (Nov. 23). Part of you feels that no matter what you’ve done in the past, you’ve really just arrived. No one can tell you how to feel about yourself. You know who is good for you, and who is a drain. Spend your year with those in the former category. December brings a lucky financial break while March shines a light on your love life. Cancer and Libra adore you. Your lucky numbers are: 1, 50, 13, 29 and 15.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: “Hi, Holiday. It seems to most astrologers on the web that being born with Saturn in the eighth house is a bit of a curse. I’m hoping for a more positive spin. Do you have any encouraging insights to share? Thank you. – Amy”

I think it’s cool. I’m just curious: Are you the kind of person who can pre- tend to be someone else for a while so that you can experience the world from another point of view? Do you change more easily than others? Saturn is the lessons planet and having it in the eighth signals to me that your lessons are profound. I’m trying not to say the “D” word, but it’s unavoidable here. I have to know ... are you less afraid of death than other people around you seem to be? The reason astrologers think it’s a curse is that they are phobic about death. For most people, the entire nature of life is to try to keep it going; try to make it great; do it up. There’s another personality who focuses more on the totality of life, a purpose on the planet, a cycle that includes many incarnations in a lifetime or perhaps many lifetimes with different incarnations. Anyway, it’s deep stuff and I would consider Saturn in the eighth to be a blessing.
