Let go: The way to health and wellness

- By GINA LOPEZ I can be reached at regina_lopez@abs-cbn.com.

Ihad a therapy session the other day and I found myself in tears. Literally. Tears streaming down.

What happened is I realized I am so involved in making things happen. I don’t allow myself to receive. So my therapist “energetically” held me. I felt myself open, let myself be held, and ended up deeply touched. My situation is not uncommon. People give, they do get so involved in what needs to be done — when there needs to be the time to breathe in deeply and just let the “light in.” Just let go — and let oneself be held. This brings in softness. At the end of the day, the more one allows oneself to receive, the more full the giving will be.

I have also found that there is a part of me that is overly critical of myself — to the point of beating myself on the head. A sense of duty to everything I do, to the point that I don’t feel the aspect of enjoyment.

Go easy. This is what I am learning. You are what you are. Go easy... let it flow. This is actually why I don’t resonate with the “I am a sinner” bit of the Church. You are what you think. I find it counterproductive to think of oneself as a sinner or feel like one. One is a spark of the Divine — and is so loved by the Heavens ... and the direction is to be the best that one can be — and for whatever failings there may be, there is that spark of divinity in each one of us. Focus on the divinity, not the failings.

Go easy. If you go easy, then as what I had felt in my therapy session, you will feel held — and loved and touched … And your life experiences will take on a softer hue.

In line with “go easy” is the direction of “receive — enjoy.” This direction is super helping me. There are divine forces around us wanting to give to us big time. We need to open and receive. Then, we need to get into the enjoyment of the experience. This direction never fails to put a smile in my heart; on my face ... It feels good. It feels right. My medication has become deeper and more expansive with this attitude.

Our experience of life depends on how we take it. If we go easy on ourselves, if we receive the warmth and love that is there, if we can learn to enjoy life and the mini-pleasures that exist, life will take on a sweetness that is lush and nourishing. Start the day opening to the Divine in a spirit of freshness before getting sucked up by work and other mundane concerns. And end the day in sweet offering. It is a definite way to health and wellness.

In the direction of health and wellness, I would like to re-invite you to the talk on homeopathy on Nov. 28, Saturday, at Luna Gardens, Rockwell, 9 a.m.-12 nn. Do you know of this football player who is suffering from brain cancer? He had one dose of chemotherapy and had so much pain, he had to take morphine. He has been on homeopathy for two days — his vision has returned and his pain is gone. It’s a bit of a miracle.

Sometimes, alternative care, if the right remedy is given, can be just as fast as allopathic medicine.

I have been taking homeopathy these past three days and my sinuses have totally cleared. I have had sinusitis since I was a teenager.

If you are interested to learn about homeopathy, contact Ivan Piccio, the only certified classic homeopath in the country, at 0927-249-8599 or email thegiftofwellness@gmail.com.

I enthusiastically recommend that you watch these links on sugar and tobacco. It had me in stitches. The guy is just sooo funny:

So, my dear fellow travelers in life.... Have the right priorities. Focus on what is meaningful. Live life to the fullest — and keep going for your highest dreams. May the force be with you!!

Much love, Gina.
