Metro Pacific repels OLFU to finish 3rd

Metro Pacific Toll Corp. dominated Our Lady of Fatima University, 77-55, to finish third in Group A at the end of the elimination round of the fifth DELeague basketball tournament at the Marikina Sports Center Tuesday night.

Byron Villaria sizzled with 31 points for the Road Warriors, who also drew 14 markers from AJ Vitug while Andrie Albano finished with 16 points and five rebounds for OLFU, which also got 11 points apiece from Nelson Peñafiel and Martin Gozon.

The Road Warriors thus ended up with a 3-2 card and will take on the Mindanao Aguilas (2-3) in the quarterfinals while the OLFU Phoenix (1-4) and Hobe Bihon-Cars Unlimited (4-1) clash in the other Last 8 pairing.
