Kia Forte Koup bags COTY award for Best Compact Car

One of the country’s premier automotive awardgiving bodies, the Car Awards Group, Inc. (CAGI) revealed its annual list of local motoring’s best of the best last Nov. 13, 2015 at Fontana Hot Spring Leisure Parks & Casino in Pampanga.

The all-new Kia Forte 2-Door Koup raced to the top of its segment in the 2015 Car of the Year-Philippines (COTY) as the Best Compact Car.

Forte2 is a sleek and sporty coupe that gives new meaning to innovation within reach. Kia’s 2-Door Koup mixes Euroinspired styling cues and world-class craftsmanship at a reasonable price of P1,090,000.

Columbian Autocar Corporation (CAC) president Ginia Domingo, expressed her elation for the recognition.

“The Kia Forte and its three variants have only been released this year and already, we are getting rave reviews and attention from industry pundits. Being awarded the Best Compact Car for the Kia Forte 2-Door Koup is such an honor, and we, at CAC, will work doubly hard to bring this car closer to the market. To determine the most superior vehicles in the market and empower the automotive consumer with the best information possible, CAGI conducted several quantitative and qualitative studies of over 80 cars and trucks. A fourday Testfest in October included comprehensive testing of a vehicle’s performance, design, safety, value, and other relevant factors.

Consumers and the car industry as a whole have always looked to COTY awards as a credible and impartial rundown of the market’s best because of the crop of motoring journalists from premier print, broadcast, and online publications that make up the CAGI organization.

The all-new Kia Forte is also available in 4-Door Sedan and 5-Door Hatchback, priced at P965,000 and P1,190,000, respectively.
