FUNCTIONAL Design
Located in one of Quezon City’s bustling communities, B Hotel Quezon City aims to give guests something uniquely different.
Bright lights, big city: B Hotel Quezon City is conveniently located in one of the city’s most desired locations.
Lined with an interesting mix of commercial establishments, Scout Rallos in Diliman makes for an accessible location that also offers utmost convenience for hotel guests.
WHERE BUSINESS AND PLEASURE MERGE
Aside from a great selection of restaurants and entertainment establishments, Diliman is also home to two of the country’s biggest television networks and other businesses and government offices, making it a prime business and commercial center.
As such, various hotels have emerged in the area to address its growing tourism potential. Catering to both local and foreign travelers, this location is perfect for tourists of varied interests. Families in nearby areas can enjoy weekend staycations, couples can enjoy some quality time, business travelers are able to meet with clients and go to meetings with much ease, those working in nearby offices now have a more convenient location to hold their meetings or enjoy a sumptuous lunch, while young professionals can relax and unwind after a long day at the office.
Ten years after the first B Hotel was built in Alabang, Muntinlupa, The Bellevue Hotels & Resorts (BH&R) has taken its brand of hospitality north of Metro Manila, this time in Quezon City.
Classified as a mid-scale hotel, B Hotel Quezon City offers much more than its unassuming façade. Come in either by its discreet driveway or the staircase up front. Hotel guests always find what’s inside delightfully intriguing.
AN UNUSUAL LOOK AND DESIGN
A peek of the lobby will reveal the hotel’s industrial interior design, something that hotel manager Carlo Librea claims is unique to B Hotel Quezon City. Having worked in the hospitality industry for more than a decade as well as residing in France, Carlo is excited for the many wonderful opportunities that B Hotel Quezon City has to offer.
While nearby hotels still have a traditional look and feel, B Hotel Quezon City aims to give much more, true to its tagline, “because you put a premium on value.” This is reflected by the hotel’s competitively priced rates, ultra spacious rooms, brand new facilities, impeccable service and mouthwatering dishes.
STARK AND BOLD
“We wanted something different for the aesthetics of our new branch. The hotel’s distinctly rugged texture will surely be a welcome change for businesspersons and the locals,” says B Hotel managing director Ryan Chan. B Hotel Quezon City worked with multi-awarded architect Edward Co Tan for the aesthetics of the property.
The main concept behind B Hotel Quezon City is “brutalism,” a profound movement in architecture — a modernist style prominent from the ‘50s through the ‘70s. Monolithic, geometric, sometimes jarring, blocky, and fortress-like in appearance — these mostly describe this concrete-based style of architectural design. The Cultural Center of the Philippines (CCP) and the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), both designed by the late National Artist for Architecture Leandro Locsin, are perfect examples of this. Essentially, brutalist architecture is a no-nonsense style — plain, no mystery, and free of romanticism.
At B Hotel Quezon City, one will get to see walls of fair-faced concrete, cogwheels at the elevator lobby, and signages made of raw black iron sheets with Allen bolts.
Complemented by modern furniture, the use of wood and glass, along with red-painted walls and carpets of striking colors and patterns, add a touch of warmth and buoyancy.
THE UNBEATEN PATH
Notwithstanding the hotel’s distinctive ambiance brought about by its extraordinary interiors, the 11-storey B Hotel Quezon City has a lot more going for it.
The location is very convenient as it is closer to various shopping malls, restaurants and coffee shops in Quezon City as well as transit stations for traveling outside the city.
Local businesspersons, traveling executives, as well as so-called “weekender tourists” ( people living nearby and in adjoining cities that are always on the lookout for their next staycation) welcome the opening of the mid-scale hotel.
BUILT FOR CONVENIENCE B Hotel Quezon City has a complete roster of in-house amenities: An al fresco lap pool with a stunning view of the North Metro, a refined ballroom with a 200-seating capacity, and the Jing Monis salon, the newest branch of the sought-after beauty stylist, can all be found at the third floor. Fitness buffs can get their workout fix at the modern, fully-equipped gym at the fifth floor.
Through the main entrance, one can immediately see the options for satisfying one’s thirst or hunger: The Lobby Café for a taste of the hotel’s creative take on cuisines, the Pastry Corner where one can indulge in decadent sweets, or the Mezzanine Bar for unwinding with friends or associates.
The Business Center has two function rooms for private group meetings. Shuttle service to the airport is available as well as car rentals. For guests with cars, parking will not be a problem as two levels of the basement are allotted for those with vehicles.
The safety and well-being of guests are assured with the hotel’s CCTV system; all measures have been taken to ensure that there are no blind spots on the property. Security personnel are top-notch yet discreet.
BEYOND THE BASICS
Chan believes that a great business hotel should go beyond the basics. “We believe that focusing on guest experience and satisfaction is the new business amenity.”
The measure of an outstanding hotel experience dwells not only in the appreciation of its outward beauty, but in its brand of personalized service. Chan assures the entire family of B Hotel Quezon City is dedicated to “raise the brand’s commitment-to-value to a new level.”
Spearheaded by Librea, the entire staff of B Hotel Quezon City is dedicated to providing guests the ultimate living experience through sincere personal attention to their needs and expectations.
