The Bellevue Resort: The way of luxury
While most of Panglao’s other resorts are situated at the crowded, northern part of the island, The Bellevue Resort is quietly tucked away in a sliver of secluded beach at the southwestern tip of Bohol’s prized tourist getaway.
The Bellevue Resort managing director John Dustin Chan says the resort’s special location makes it an ideal sanctuary for privacy and indulgence.
“The Bellevue Hotels & Resorts has always stood for dedicated service, uncompromised quality and a penchant for innovation. The opening of The Bellevue Resort is proof of our commitment to provide nothing but the best for our guests,” he says.
Luxury at every point
Situated at the inviting and serene Doljo Beach, The Bellevue Resort is just a 20-minute drive from the nearby Tagbilaran Airport in the capital city of Bohol, and less than two hours away from Cebu by ferry.
The Bellevue Resort consists of 155 exquisitely appointed luxury rooms and suites, which maximize the spectacular views of the picturesque Doljo Beach, and the island’s lush tropical landscape.
Rooms at the resort’s north wing are specifically designed with families in mind. With two queen beds in every masterfully designed guest room, The Bellevue Resort’s spacious guest rooms can easily accommodate up to four adults. With an addition of a roll away bed, families of up to five can rest comfortably, and still have room to move about freely.
Couples on their honeymoon have an option to stay in the resort’s deluxe rooms at the east wing which range from 35 to 45 sqm, or opt to indulge in any of the resort’s luxurious suites which range from 65 to over 170 sqm. The suites are equipped with king beds and creature comforts like large LED TVs, and iPod docks among other things.
Grand Welcome
Bellevue’s brand of warm hospitality begins as soon as guests arrive from the airport. Much like a royal arrival, guests are welcomed at the resort’s grand pavilion with warm smiles from the resort staff. Guests can indulge in any of the pampering therapies at the resort’s own spa or they can lounge around at the resort’s expansive white sand beach.
Guests will also find it difficult to resist the temptation to swim in the resort’s magnificent infinity pool, which also has a kiddie area for toddlers going for a dip. The pool also has a diving area for those who want to make a splash. Diving fans are also in for a treat as the resort offers a dive and water sports center that can help guests with all that they will need for their underwater expedition.
There is also an indoor playing area where children can enjoy while gym buffs need not worry about skipping their routine on vacation as the resort offers a well-equipped gym for guests.
The resort also has a lobby shop for those who want to buy souvenirs, while those who have to get things done even while on vacation can avail of the services being offered at the resort’s business center.
Eat and be merry
The resort features several restaurants and bars each with its own distinct taste and style. Whether a quick snack, a buffet feast, or a special romantic dinner with a private table overlooking Doljo Beach, The Bellevue Resort offers various dining outlets to suit any appetite.
Flujo offers refreshing summer cocktails, tropical shakes, and other bar chow. Lamian offers a buffet of the best dishes from around the world, while seafood fans are in for a treat at the resort’s signature seafood restaurant Marea, where the fine dining experience is complimented by the stunning seaside ambiance.
Exploring Bohol
With the help of the resort’s tour desk, guests can choose to go around Panglao and explore the other great things that Bohol offers. Beyond visiting the iconic Chocolate Hills or seeing the Philippine tarsier in its natural habitat, Bohol has a myriad of attractions and activities for tourists to enjoy. Experience the rich culture and biodiversity of Bohol by taking a guided community tour along Abatan River, which takes a closer look at Bohol’s river towns and their age-old traditions.
Have a romantic cruise down the famous Loboc River aboard small bancas or floating restaurants while being treated to a vista of lush tropical vegetation of nipa palms, coconut trees, and banana groves. Revisit the past in Bohol’s centuries-old churches, dating back to the early years of Spanish colonization in the province. There is Our Lady of Immaculate Conception Parish Church in Baclayon, the San Pedro y San Pablo Parish Church in Loboc, the Santo Niño Parish Church in Valencia, and the Nuestra Señora de la Luz Parish Church in Loon, among others.
Excite your senses as the diverse marine life unravels before your eyes at Balicasag Island Marine Sanctuary. Located southwest of Panglao, Balicasag is known as one of the best dive sites in the Philippines, which offers a grand array of tropical fishes, rare turtles, and various large corals. See Bohol in a more exploratory light at Danao Adventure Park and enjoy various ecotourism activities including rappelling, trekking and kayaking, among others.
“Combining contemporary design and tropical lifestyle, The Bellevue Resort is the perfect getaway to Bohol,” says Chan.
