Fatima’s nursing, pharmacy graduates in PRC exams’ top 10

Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) opened the New Year big with additional topnotcher­s to its roster!

The Profession­al Regulation Commission (PRC)’s November 2015 nurse licensure examinatio­n results showed Warley Fajardo III, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing graduate from OLFU Quezon City campus placed Top 8 among board-passers with a passing mark of 84.60 percent. PRC announced that 9,114 out of 18,500 or 49.26 percent passed the board examinatio­n.

A total of 374 BSN graduates from Valenzuela City, Quezon City and Antipolo City campuses passed the licensure exam. The three campuses registered a combined average passing mark of 59.67 percent ( first timers), higher than the national passing mark of 49.26 percent.

According to dean Nelia Capulong, of the College of Nursing – OLFU Quezon City campus, Fajardo III has been performing well since first year college and graduated cum laude.

The College of Pharmacy-Quezon City campus of Our Lady of Fatima University was recognized by the PRC as the top 3 performing school in the January 2016 pharmacist licensure examinatio­n, achieving a passing average of 84.62 percent. OLFU-QC campus along with Antipolo campus were also recognized by PRC as top performing schools in the same board examinatio­n last July 2015.

OLFU’s latest topnotcher, Josephine Marie Angeline Sengson, a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy graduate from OLFU Valenzuela City Campus placed top 10 in the pharmacist board examinatio­n with a passing mark of 91.05 percent.

The College of Pharmacy has already produced seven topnotcher­s from the pharmacy licensure examinatio­n.

A total of 141 pharmacy graduates from OLFU Valenzuela City, Quezon City and Antipolo City campuses passed the January 2016 board exam achieving a passing average of 71.93 percent, higher than the national passing average of 54.87 percent.

The College of Pharmacy is a consistent top performing college in the pharmacist licensure examinatio­n for the past nine years.
