2 boys arrested for jeepney mugging

Two boys, aged 14 and 17, were arrested for allegedly robbing a 17-year-old girl in a jeepney in Quezon City on Saturday night.

Police officers on patrol followed the jeepney when they saw four males robbing the girl in the vehicle.

The lawmen gave chase and caught one of the robbers near the Quezon Memorial Circle at around 10 p.m. They recovered the girl’s backpack and P600 cash from the robber.

The other boy was arrested at his house during a follow-up operation.

The boys were identified by the girl and the other jeepney passengers as the ones who staged the robbery.
