Man nabbed for abusing partner

A 48-year-old man was arrested last week for allegedly beating up and pouring hot oil and boiling water on his partner in Quezon City.

Barangay officials arrested Augusto Daan after neighbors saw him attacking his partner in their home on Thursday.

Daan accused his partner of having an affair, police said.

Police officers said Daan reportedly hit his partner with a ladle full of hot oil and poured boiling water on her head and arm.

Daan and the victim have been together for 14 years and have two children.
