Manny invites Tim to prayer meeting

LAS VEGAS – At the center of the ring, after going through 12 rounds of boxing, Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley looked like old friends.

HBO ring analyst Max Kellerman was prompted to ask if the two boxers were inviting each other for breakfast Sunday morning.

Kellerman had to cut the conversation short. “Excuse me,” he said. It turned out that Pacquiao was inviting Bradley to a prayer meeting.

“In fact I invited him tomorrow to our bible study,” said Pacquiao, who even gave Bradley his room number at The Mandalay Bay Delano.

Bradley, according to publicist Fred Sternburg, accepted the invite.

“They exchanged numbers. Manny invited Tim to the prayer meeting tomorrow,” he said.

Bradley is a family man, always surrounded by family members, including his father, Ray, and wife, Monica, who is also his business manager.

“Bradley is a nice guy, a good man,” said Pacquiao.

“And it’s good. We don’t need to hit each other outside the ring. We should be friends,” said Pacquiao, who had become friends with some old foes like Erik Morales. “That’s boxing,” he said. Don’t be surprised if Bradley gets invited to one of Pacquiao’s birthday parties.
