Robbers snatch P4.6 M in Laguna

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – Three unidentified men robbed at gunpoint a Korean and his employee and took P4.6 million in cash from them in Calamba City over the weekend.

Lee Dongho, 40, safety manager of the FSP Philippines Corp., and his companion, Jhenelyn Baccay, 24, were walking toward their vehicle at the parking lot of a commercial establishment when the men blocked them.

Dongho told police they withdrew the money, which was intended for the salary of the employees, from a nearby bank.

The armed men dragged the victims into their vehicle and sped away. They dumped the two in Barangay Prinza.

Police have yet to review the footage taken by closed-circuit television cameras installed at the parking lot.
