LOS ANGELES – Floyd Mayweather Jr. was spotted roaming around the MGM Grand shortly after Manny Pacquiao bested Timothy Bradley on Saturday (Sunday in Manila).

There were reports that Mayweather took time to watch the fight himself. The man who defeated Pacquiao in boxing’s richest fight last year confirmed that he saw the bout.

“Actually, I did watch the fight,” he said in video posted on fighthype.com.

Mayweather said he ordered the fight pay-perview.

Pacquiao knocked Bradley down twice on his way to a convincing victory, potentially the last of his illustrious career. The Filipino icon got the nod of the three judges, who turned in identical scorecards of 116-110.

But for Mayweather, the gap should not be that wide.

“I thought the fight was a lot closer than they had it. But you know in boxing, you win some, you lose some,” he added.

Meanwhile, a separate report by ESPN.com’s Wallace Matthews said Mayweather actually paid Bradley a visit after the fight. Matthews cited a source who claimed Mayweather told Bradley that he thought the fight was a draw.

“Go home and watch the replay with the sound off,’’ the source quoted Mayweather as saying, aware of the heavily pro-Pacquiao crowd in the arena.

Mayweather was reportedly gracious to Bradley, praising him for improving as a fighter.

Asked about Mayweather’s assessment of his victory over Bradley, Pacquiao just laughed it off.

“Hindi draw yun (that wasn’t a draw),” he told a few Filipino reporters who were invited in his suite at the Delano Hotel in Las Vegas on Sunday (Monday in Manila) after the boxer attended a thanksgiving service.

“I-drawing niya (Mayweather should draw it),” said Pacquiao.

In Tagalog slang, “drawing” means making claims without concrete evidence, or someone who is all-talk and no action.

Regardless of what Mayweather thinks, Pacquiao is contented with the outcome of his latest gig.

“Happy ako,” he said.
