Drilon, Sotto keep leads in latest Pulse survey

Senate President Franklin Drilon and Sen. Vicente Sotto III kept their leads in the latest Pulse Asia senatorial survey commission­ed by ABS-CBN.

First-time Senate aspirant former justice secretary Leila de Lima slid down to ninth to 13th places in the same poll, conducted from April 5 to 10.

Drilon was ranked first to second with 51.6 percent, followed by Sotto, who occupied first to third places, with 49.8 percent.

Former senator Francis Pangilinan got 46.8 percent and was ranked second to third.

Occupying the fourth to fifth slots was former senator Panfilo Lacson who obtained 40.8 percent, followed by former senator Juan Miguel Zubiri with 38.9 percent (fourth to sixth places).

Boxer and Sarangani Rep. Manny Pacquiao received 36.3 percent and got the fifth to 11th rankings.

Former Technical Education and Skills Developmen­t Authority director general Joel Villanueva and Sen. Ralph Recto both obtained 35.6 percent and shared the sixth to 11th spots.

Sen. Sergio Osmeña III, former senator Richard Gordon and former Akbayan partylist representa­tive Risa Hontiveros occupied the sixth to 13th places with scores of 34.2 percent, 33.8 percent, and 33.7 percent, respective­ly.

De Lima shared the ninth to 13th slots with Valenzuela City Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian with 32.3 percent and 31.5 percent, respective­ly.

Sen. Teofisto Guingona III was out of the winning circle with 25.3 percent.

The survey used face- toface interviews of 4,000 registered voters nationwide and has an error margin of plus or minus 1.5 percent.
