Nominations for Asia CEO Awards 2016 now open
To promote the ASEAN region as a premier business destination, senior leaders from the alliance of Filipino and foreign corporate communities representing the cream of the nation’s local and international business gathered to witness the formal opening of the nomination process for the seventh Asia CEO Awards, last April 12, at the ceremonial hall of the Marriott Grand Ballroom, Newport Boulevard, Newport City Complex in Pasay City.
The Asia CEO Awards is presented by PLDT Alpha Enterprise. It aims to recognize extraordinary leaders who have demonstrated outstanding achievements for their organizations. This annual gala was established as a natural outgrowth of Asia CEO Forum, the largest regular networking event for the Philippine business community.
This year, nominees will be vying for the top awards in 13 different categories, namely; TCS Executive Leadership Team of the Year, syncHRony Global Top Employer of the Year, Smart Enterprise Global Filipino Executive of the Year, JLL Expatriate Executive of the Year, ADP Service Excellence Company of the Year, Capital One Young Leader of the Year, ADEC Innovations Green Company of the Year, ASKI Global CSR Company of the Year, I-Remit Heart for OFWs Company, LBC Business Solutions SME Company of the Year, Wells Fargo Technology Company of the Year, Globaltronics Most Innovative Company of the Year and the ASEAN Company of the Year.
The nomination period for Asia CEO Awards 2016 runs from Apr. 12 to Aug. 30. Any individual or organization may nominate candidates for the awards. Self-nominations are also accepted but members of the Board of Judges of Asia CEO Awards are excluded from nominating candidates. Submission of nominations is free.
There are two classes of award categories: Philippine and ASEAN.
The ASEAN Company of the Year is open to ASEAN companies with regional operations.
All other awards are open only to Philippine-based organizations and individuals.
In all cases, candidates must have made a positive contribution to the development of the economic capabilities and international reputation of ASEAN and Philippines through their employment, business involvement or heritage.
The shortlist of finalists for each award category will be announced at a press conference scheduled on Sept. 30. Winners will be announced on the grand awards night, set for Oct. 18.
The Asia CEO Awards is the largest business awards event in the Philippines and one of the largest in the Asia Pacific region.
