AN EMPLOYER OF CHOICE: Why work at Teleperformance?
Serving more than 160 markets through its 311 contact centers present in 65 countries, Teleperformance employs 190,000 people worldwide and provides jobs for more than 40,000 Filipinos. As the worldwide leader in outsourced omnichannel customer experience management, Teleperformance remains the employer of choice by those who are seeking a rewarding career in the BPO industry with a company that nurtures and offers many avenues for growth.
“At Teleperformance, we believe that a happy, motivated employee delivers more than what is required and expected. This desire and energy to create an excellent employee experience within a culture of service and teamwork has been our prime differentiator for the past 20 years. This mindset begins with our leaders, who ensure that the passion spreads throughout the organization – and stays there permanently,” says Coates.
In a dynamic industry where a strong workforce is key, Teleperformance invests heavily in its employee welfare programs through employee engagement activities, learning and development programs, competitive compensation and benefits packages and world-class employee facilities.
Staying true to the company’s commitment to maintain a balance between work and recreation, Teleperformance actively promotes a healthy mind and body for its employees through sports, talent competitions and festivities. “For the past years, we have hosted hundreds of engagement activities that include song and dance competitions, art contests, sports tournaments and eventspecific recognition programs,” shares Coates.
Of course it’s also imperative that Teleperformance is able to provide its employees with well-maintained facilities that allow for work environments that are comfortable, safe and accessible. He elaborates, “We also take a step further by providing spacious, state-of-the-art facilities complete with recreation and fitness centers, clinic with lactation rooms, individual lockers, highly-monitored and secure work areas, and business locations easily reached by train, bus or jeepney.”
As a company that is actively involved in many outreach projects through its CSR arm, Citizen of the World, Teleperformance employees are also given the opportunity to give back to the communities that they serve while also developing teamwork and the spirit of goodwill.
Some of the most recent projects include its partnership with Gawad Kalinga to build 100 homes in Tanay, Rizal for Typhoon Ondoy victims and its ongoing relationship with Kythe Foundation where our employees give their time and compassion in spending time with children who are battling cancer and other lifethreatening diseases. Teleperformance is also one of the largest collective blood donor to the Philippine Red Cross. “Our employees’ deep engagement in our CSR activities generated close to 12,000 volunteer hours in 2015, with millions of pesos worth of cash and in-kind support. Our CSR efforts have been recognized by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority with its Outstanding Community Project Award for two consecutive years. We also received the Melchora Aquino Award from the Philippine Blood Center and the Platinum Award from the Philippine Red Cross for our blood donation program implemented in all our sites nationwide,” Coates shares proudly.
He adds, “We believe that our most valuable assets are our employees. With the rapidly evolving landscape and heightening competition in the contact center industry, we ensure that our employees become wellrounded individuals and we continue to empower them through various training and development programs that instill technical aptitude with values formation and management excellence. As our employees assume more challenging roles in the organization, it is our ultimate goal as leaders to maintain and practice the organization’s core values and impart the same to our team.”
Generous not only in company benefits but also in opportunities for growth, Teleperformance is a company that continues to grow and be better together with its employees, who are now celebrating 20 years of success in the Philippines.
