We all make choices every day. From deciding to go to work or staying at home, to picking what to eat, wear and ride in our commute, up to picking the next leaders of our country, a decision-making process is involved. Of course, not every choice is in our favor, leading some to regret their choices. Which is why twice a year, the country’s longest- running motoring show, Auto Focus, organizes the Auto Focus Test Drive Festival — one in the middle of summer and another before the Christmas season. The festival gathers some of the country’s biggest and most popular automakers in one convenient place where prospective buyers can visit, see and test drive some of the newest cars in the market.
According to Sunshine Television chairman and CEO and Auto Focus host Ray Butch Gamboa, the yearly festival was organized as a service to Filipino car buyers who are in need of essential foresight, information and actual experience with the car they want to buy before investing on it.
This year’s Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival begins today, and will last until Sunday, April 24, at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds in Pasay City. Among the brands that will be showcasing some of their cars are BMW, Chevrolet, Ford, Honda, Isuzu, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Suzuki, Toyota and Volkswagen. These brands will have their sales personnel at the venue ready to accommodate your inquiries and requests regarding a particular car model and guide you throughout your test drive.
As in every test drive festival, there will be a test-drive track specifically designed to test different aspects of a car ’ s performance such as handling, acceleration, speed, comfort and braking. The track has been greatly improved this year in order to achieve better accuracy in testing. Marshals, who will ensure that your test drive is conducted in a safe and proper manner, will be present in key parts of the track at all times.
The Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival is a yearly destination for individuals and families looking to invest in a car this summer. Families visit the festival to look for a new car to take to their out-of-town trip or in preparation for the upcoming school year in June. Others look for a new car that would serve their business needs or simply to enjoy the luxury of having a brand- new car from a bigname automaker. Whatever your purpose is in searching for a car, you can surely find one to your liking at the Auto Focus Summer Test Drive Festival!
The festival opens today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds.
