KAPI stages The Emperor’s New Clothes

-

Kids Acts Philippines, Inc. (KAPI), with artistic director Luigi Nacario at the helm, kicks off its 14th Theater Season of Children’s Musical with The Emperor’s New

Clothes, which runs May 28 and 29, at St. Scholastica’s College, Malate, Manila.

Under the music direction of Eugene Belbis, the musical features outstanding compositions, along with simplified dialogues, to be rendered by young professional actors and workshop students.

The CampArt Musical Theater Workshop incorporates and integrates children’s singing, dancing and acting abilities through intensive training and performative skills immersion. It is one of the best molding grounds to hone talents, boost confidence, explore creativity and develop internalization of different characters and personalities. The workshop guarantees a fun and unique way of enhancing social interaction among children through acting exercises and theater games. The Emperor’s New

Clothes will be staged with the support of this year’s theater arts majors of Bulacan State University with the guidance of production manager, Emmalyn Lorena Doverte. Set design is by Joven Estremera and costume design, Luigi Nacario.

KAPI is a professional, non-profit theater company dedicated to encouraging children and young adults to nurture their full potential in the performing arts.
